I’ve finally made it to Canada! I drove eleven hours to get to Toronto from Providence. The border between Canada and the United States is at Niagara Falls, and I managed to get some pretty amazing pictures…
I start my job at the National Post (http://www.nationalpost.com/) on Monday (Nov.1), which I am extremely excited about. As far as I know, I will be writing hard news stories at first– and, also, dabbling in the digital arena. Then I will be extending my influence into the features sections.
At the Journal I spent most of my days writing hard-copy features. I did one hard-hitting online breaking news story at the Journal– hopefully, I will now be able to write many more at the Post!
Proving myself in both the digital and hard-copy realms will broaden my horizons in the industry. And the experience will lead to bigger and better hard-hitting news opportunities!
