The D.C. socialite Bash Kazi tumbled off his horse during the Sentebale Polo Cup in Brazil recently and Prince Harry, whose charity the match was benefiting, was the first man off his horse to help. Later, Kazi praised the Prince’s character, telling The Washington Post that Harry is a “fabulous person and such a gentleman.”
Prince Harry was the first one off his horse, doing the right thing, Kazi told The Post: “I remember waking up with these piercing blue eyes looking at me,” he said. Harry had immediately turned Kazi over to make sure he regained consciousness: “Harry was massaging his neck, making sure he was okay,” Ray Regan, a Washington polo enthusiast on the scene told The Washington Post.
The injured party was then taken away by ambulance with a slight concussion, but he rejoined the match later.
Kazi hopes to play polo with Harry again someday.
