Prince Harry spent his Easter holiday in Romania with a family friend in Transylvania— Count Tibor Kalnoky, who owns a 16th Century manor house, according to The Sun and the Associated Press, among other sources.
While in the area, the Prince took the time to check on his father’s properties and ride on a motorbike through the mountains:
“His father is a regular visitor to the region,” says the Romania Business Insider, “and has been involved in agriculture, environment and restoration projects in Transylvania and its Saxon villages. Prince Charles also owns several properties in Transylvania.”
According to the Romania Business Insider, Harry also met other influential figures in the region, such as Baraolt mayor Nagy Istvan: “Romanian newswire Mediafax quotes Baraolt mayor Nagy Istvan, saying he met Prince Harry on Monday afternoon and gave him ‘tuica’ (the local alcoholic beverage),” reports the publication.
