Twelve senior members of Britain’s royal family mingled with foreign royalty from 26 countries today at the Queen’s Jubilee lunch at Windsor Castle; 24 Kings and Queens, one Emperor, a Grand Duke and a Sultan, according to the Daily Mail’s assessment.
“They sat at round tables seating up to 12, with each group having at least a sovereign, their spouse, a member of Britain’s royal family and a member of the royal household,” reports the Mirror’s Natalie Evans.
The lunch menu via RoyalDish:
- Starter: tartlet of poached egg with English asparagus.
- Main Course: new season Windsor Lamb with braised potatoes, artichokes, peas, carrots, broad beans, cabbage, and a tomato and basil salad.
- Dessert or ‘Pudding’: Kent strawberries and vanilla Charlotte and dessert fruit and cheese.
