The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge enjoyed Wimbledon today (4 July) in a “private” capacity; it was not a royal occasion, a Clarence House spokesman told the Telegraph.
The latter, however, did not stop the couple from receiving royal treatment, and William and Kate took their places in the exclusive Royal Box to watch Roger Federer and Andy Murray in the quarter finals.
The Duchess arrived wearing an event appropriate white Alexander McQueen sweater dress that she sported in Canada last year, and William was by her side looking handsome in a suit.
Joining the couple in the royal box were notable tennis figures Andre Agassi, Steffi Graf, Jonas Bjorkman, Rod Laver, and Mark Philippoussis. Also present were the parents of former British number one Tim Henman, England football manager Roy Hodgson, Des Lynam and Sir Michael Parkinson, according to The Telegraph.
Kate is the last of her family members to enjoy Wimbledon from the royal box this year.
The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall visited the box last week.
This is not the first time William and Kate have enjoyed watching Wimbledon together.
