On Tuesday, The Duchess of Cambridge appeared without her husband at the Queen’s garden party at Buckingham Palace, the second of the year.

Kate lingered with Charles and Camilla to greet guests; in an interesting move, she wore the very same pink Emilia Wickstead coat dress she dawned just 11 days ago at Windsor Castle, during a Jubilee lunch hosted by the queen for foreign royals.

“I’ve worn it before, as you probably all know,” Kate openly commented, according to The Express.

The Duchess continued, saying “It’s very nerve-racking facing such a sea of people, but great fun. Everyone looks so pretty dressed up.”

Kate was told of some recent statistical findings—that the average guest at a Buckingham Palace garden party will consume 14 cakes and sandwiches.“Gosh, no, really? Well, I had better see what I can do about that,” she said.

The approximately 8,000 guests at the party were invited from all walks of life, nominated by institutions, charities or businesses.

Riding the Royal Barge, the Spirit of Chartwell, will be the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge; Prince Harry; Charles and Camilla; Prince Philip and the Queen. About the ship: “A state-of-the-art cruise boat, specially designed to evoke the opulence of ancient royal maritime traditions,” explains the Daily Telegraph. Photo Credit: PA.

In two weeks and three days the River Thames will host around 1,000 vessels for the upcoming Jubilee Pageant, an elaborate event on a legendary river to celebrate the Queen’s 60 year reign.

It will be the biggest flotilla London has witnessed in 350 years, the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, told the Telegraph as details of the Jubilee bank holiday weekend were revealed:

“We will be igniting the excitement of a summer like no other,” Johnson added. “This incredible aquatic pageant will be a kind of Dunkirk, except more successful and more cheerful. There’s going to be skiffs and wherries and schooners and sampans and dhows and dragon boats and just about every kind of vessel you can imagine.”

Information released recently includes what boats the royals will travel on. Below, listed, the boats senior royals will travel on. Click here to view descriptions of the full Royal Squadron and other participating vessels:

Lady Louise breaks her arm after pony fall at Windsor Castle

Lady Louise Windsor told her parents, Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, not to be 'cross' with her pony, after she fell off it and broke her arm last week. Photo Credit: Getty Images (L) and PA (R).

For a royal child, the only proper way to break a limb is by falling off his or her personal pony (gifted to him or her by the Queen of England, of course) while riding around on a grand estate. This is exactly what befell eight-year-old Lady Louise Windsor last week during a private riding lesson at Windsor Castle: Lady Louise was riding about the estate, on a pony gifted to her by the Queen, when she fell from her mount and broke her arm.

“Louise took a very heavy tumble,” a source told the Daily Mail. “But because most Royals now wear the same body protectors as jockeys – which cushion the back and upper torso – she was saved from more serious injuries. Her hard hat also protected her.”

“She often goes riding with the Queen and has had a few tumbles in the past, but this was the worst. She’s black and blue from bruises on her left side,” The Mail’s source added.

Lady Louise has assured her parents (Prince Edward and his wife Sophie, Countess of Wessex ) that her injury was not the Pony’s fault; she told them not to ‘blame the pony’ and that ‘they should not be cross with him,’ reports The Daily Mail.
Lady Louise was fitted with a cast and will require no further medical treatment, the Palace has told members of the media.

Harry’s night out: The Party Prince dances in the street outside Bunga Bunga Bar

Despite reports that Prince Harry has been told to tone down his social life and focus on his military career, it seems he’s not taken the advice (given by military personnel) to heart.

On Friday night, Harry took part in a marathon drinking session; he began the night at a Barts in Fulham, before continuing the evening at the Bunga Bunga Bar, run by a former Etonian, according to the Daily Mail.

A source told The Mail:

Harry decided he was up for a night out and started drinking at about 8 o’clock. He was pretty plastered by the end of the night and left Bunga Bunga at about 3.30 in the morning. They had been drinking cocktails and shots and Harry was in really good spirits. It was like he was in a world of his own. His friends were chatting on the pavement and Harry skipped into the road and did a little jive. It was hilarious to watch and he was really getting into it. He gave one of his mates a bear hug good night and then did a funny little jig to his chauffeur driven car.

Harry’s night culminated with a private lock-in until 3.30 am.

Earlier in the day, however, Harry was a picture perfect Prince— rigged out in a dapper suit to attend a a memorial service for the late Queen Mother and Princess Margaret at Windsor Castle. In tow were many members of the royal family, most notably The Queen.

Royal roundup: Michael and Carole Middleton meet the Queen, Kate shops for honeymoon?

Queen Elizabeth II

Queen Elizabeth II meets Michael and Carole Middleton

Kate Middletons parents: Michael and Carole.

Queen Elizabeth II has finally met Kate Middleton’s parents— She invited Michael and Carole Middleton to Windsor Castle on Wednesday for a private lunch (and a spot of tea perhaps?).

Kate Middleton was first introduced to the Queen in May 2008, at the marriage of William’s cousin Peter Phillips and Autumn Kelly, reports AFP.

“It was in amongst a lot of other guests and she was very friendly,” Kate recalled in an interview to mark her engagement last November.

Prince William added  “She had wanted to meet Kate for a while, so it was very nice for her to come over and say hello. We had a little chat and got on very well.”

William to spend night before wedding at St. James’s palace with father and possibly brother.

Prince William will spend the night before his Wedding at St. James’s Palace with Price Charles and Prince Harry.

Reports say Prince William will spend his last night as a bachelor with his father at St. James’s Palace, where Prince Harry will join them the next day— before they set off to Westminster Abbey—where the prince will marry Kate Middleton.

“Prince Charles will reportedly cut short his Easter break in Scotland and has been excused from attending a dinner for foreign nationals hosted by the Queen so that he can be by his son’s side,” says Splash news.

They’re very close,” said a Sun source to AFP of the three person family. It’s possible they’ll spend time alone with their father on the eve of the wedding.’

A source told The Sun, ‘Prince Charles is a loving father who’s a lot closer to his sons than people often realise. He’s made it clear his priority in the hours before the wedding is his son.’

Kate Middleton spotted shopping in London, for her honeymoon?

Kate Middleton shopping in London, Fame.

Kate Middleton was spotted shopping in London for clothing on Tuesday— the pieces she purchased are probably for her honeymoon, sources say.
She picked up $350 worth of summary items from the British retailer “Warehouse” on King’s road and also stopped by Banana Republic:

“Speculation is that Middleton is stocking up on essentials for her forthcoming honeymoon;” said the Telegraph. “…the four pieces she picked up in Warehouse, including a poppy-print strapless dress, £60 and a short tropical bird-print dress, £65, are rather “holiday” in spirit. She also bought several items from Banana Republic’s summer collection, although the store refused to divulge specifics.”

She exited the store with three dresses and a blouse, says People.

People reports the frock above is one of three Kate middleton purchased for her honeymoon.

“She popped in and had a quick look around [Warehouse] with a friend,” a spokesperson told People. “It was very exciting, and everyone said how lovely and down-to-earth she was.”

Then “the imminent bride chatted to staff about how she “loves Banana Republic,” and how she “will be shopping with them in future,” reports the Telegraph. They also report some of her other favorite shopping destinations:”She often shops at TK Maxx for heavily-discounted designer brands,” says the Telegraph, “as well as at high-street favourites LK Bennett and Whistles, and regularly recycles her favourite pair of suede knee-high boots for public outings.”
